Ugh. The wife's boss is still waffling on this. I'm guessing she's going to bail and make her work. Might run down to Edmonton and do a junk yard run for the truck. Bucks and Pick 'n' Pull. I usually find something interesting in those places.

The wife did get the weekend, but if we can meet in Edmonton this weekend, that would save us a lot of money. With the Stampede in Cowgary, all the cheaper hotels are booked.

 

Well im gunna be out of edmonton until jul 6th. Hanging around calgary for the stampede and all.

 

Ah. We might make it down that way. I'll have to see what she wants to do, too. She's off from work early on Friday, so I don't know if she wants to leave when she gets off or what the deal might be there. Depends on our accommodation plans, too. We know people in both areas, so if we can couch surf it, we'll have the money to get down there.

Edit: The wife wants to go into Edmonton in August after my vacation time rolls over, so if we don't make it to Calgary this weekend, we could plan something then?

It's gotta happen eventually. Would be cool to get a few of us together. Like I said, mid-August is my vacation roll over. I'd love to get some people together and do a meet/photo shoot (even though I don't have a camera at the moment. Our old rig was film-based, and we had to sell it off.).

 

Would be down to do a cruise, hopefully ill be able to get my 3sdm's and coils by then! Post in this thread when everyone is down for a meet??

 

I was thinking the same thing: If the meet waits until later, I can get some more parts to show off! :P

Yeah. I'm hoping for either the 22/23 weekend, but it depends on work and the staff situation, as I'll be stuck working every second Sunday until we train our new recruit, so it might have to be the 29/30 weekend.

My plan is just to have a three day weekend, and we can meet somewhere in that stretch. I'll have to talk to my boss next week, but she's super accommodating, so as long as no one else has that weekend booked, I should be okay.

 

So good news, I've secured the 22/23 weekend!

Also scored a little extra on the weekend at the junk yard for free, so I'm gonna see what it looks like: An e-brake boot off a Prelude.

The boss said when people request a weekend, she tries to give them Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon all in a row off. I have no idea if she's gotten that far on the schedule, but that weekend is mine. I think it was supposed to be mine anyways, but I'm not 100% on the matter. Either way, I gotta dress this thing to impress now. There's a meet potentially happening. :P

If this does happen, where should we do it? I'm somewhat familiar with Edmonton now, but I'm not really familiar with good places for gatherings. I'm going to set aside money for a decent hotel (I stayed at the west end Travelodge last weekend. It was pretty old, and the beds were awful. They did have a mad pinball machine, tho.)

The wife is off that weekend for sure, too. So we're definitely good to go.
