My names Steve, and right now I'm autox-ing in stock class, but looking to jump to STS next year with a compliment of mods that will help me be competitive in that class. The plan is to have the T1R intake (if I can afford it), exhaust, springs, struts, and about 5-6 chassis bars in place in addition to a bigger RSB. This would be an expensive setup to get everything going, and hopefully this exhaust would be one less part I would have to buy!! I've been racing the Fit since 6 days after I took delivery, so I definitely broke it in pretty good lol. Good luck to everyone in the contest!!

This is the first autox with the fit, and everyone just cant stop staring!!

Same race, but after this lap, they were making announcements, and said "Get your friends out here to race too, we take all kinds of cars. Today we have everything from fully race prepped karts, to a stock Honda Fit!"

A quick drive-by shot from the same race...

This is the second event I went to, and I've never had more fun at an autox! Before the Fit, I raced a Ford ZX2 in DSP, and did alright, but my friend Mike always managed to best my times. He recently got an 06 Hyundai Tiburon v6. With the fit, I busted his time by over a full second! When that happenned, some of my other friends started to realize that the Fit is a potent little car, and that racing is NOT all about power, but more about technique and handling .

Another drive-by from my second race.

This was shot by a friend of mine thats a photographer, and I liked the pic so much, I thought I'd share with you guys!

Heres another pic from a quick shoot...

And heres one of me from the trip down there lol...

Heres a few of my ZX2 from autox-ing before...

Quick shoot near the nuclear power plant in my back yard LOL

And since you wanted to see some more of me, heres my right wrist...lol

Again, good luck to everyone that enters!!

EDIT!!!

Heres a video of me on the dyno on Saturday...Got 92hp to the wheels on a mustang dyno (notorious for low readings) with just a cone filter in place of the airbox!!!

...And one of the Autocross today!!

Here the latest autoX video (from this morning actually LOL)

Wish me luck guys!!!

Motorsports: In terms of how my Fit sits right now, I can not complain, but can It be improved? Yes, indeed it can. I do Quite a bit of spirited driving in local canyons so what I care most about is suspension, breaks, and tires. I'm currently running T1R S-coil (V2) springs BUT I believe that I need stiffer suspension. I noticed that the brake fade on the stock brake pads isn't too bad, but would feel more confident if I had a BBK up front and disks in the back.

ATM, I'm currently trying to scrounge around to find enough funds for T1R Coilovers as performance brake pads and boots will have to do until I can (afford) upgrade to a BBK and rear disks.

I actually bought my Fit because I saw it as a worthy replacement for the old school EG and Ek hatchbacks and also saw it as the "Wave of the future". Just knowing it was a Honda I knew
that it would be very reliable I was very confident that the after market support would be HUGE. The 2 main reasons I bought my Fit was because of it's great MPG and versatility of the seating arrangements to fit your needs.

My work and school are each 30 miles from my house
in opposite directions. That's a minimum of 90 miles traveled per day and with the way gas prices are slowly rising, I need as much MPG as I can get.

A few examples when arranging the seat configurations came in handy would be:

Refresh mode- Sleeping on my between classes, on my lunch break from work (BTW I work grave yard), or even before a pre-meet to caravan to a meet held at Eibach's venue (came straight from work as some of you So Cal-ers may recall)

Utility mode - When I had to do a HUGE amount of laundry because our washer at home was down. My C-pillar bar was also a huge help because it allowed me to hang laundry from it.

anyhow, enough chatter. on to the pics!!!

Custom painted headlights with TSX Projectors/ HIDs for those dark canyon roads.

Sorry, I have no action shots to share with everyone.

Thanks for the opportunity FitFreak and AJ-R!

I bought my fit at the end of Feb. of this year. I wanted to purchase a white Fit with black interior, but after searching and waiting and looking, I found a Vivid blue pearl fit with black interior. I love it!! This is an Automatic Sport Fit. I drive it everyday to and from work. I used to practice martial arts and was on the USA National team. I recently had knee surgery which set me back. I had enough room in the FIT for my weapons, gym bags and everything I needed. On top of that, I average 33 miles per gallon. I drive 80%city and 20%hwy.

The first modification that I did was TINT. I had 35% metallic tint done. then I added the mugen style window visors and blue gas/brake pedals. Next I thought that the headlights weren't bright enough so I installed HID 6500K for my head lights AND HID 6500K foglights! Then I got new rims, 16" Konig Britelight Mirror Finish Followed by Tanabe GF210 springs and Front and rear Aspec strut bars. My last mod was my auto start and alarm. I love being able to start the car and warm it up before I get in!

I love how my car rides right now. It is perfect for a daily driver. In the future I would like to change my exhuast system or intake. I would also like to add an in-dash LCD as well.

Here are some pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

When I first got the car.

Car Lowered with Tanabe GF210 and HID 6500K Headlights

Lowered with Tanabe gf210
16" Konig Britelight Mirror Finish
35% tint window
Mugen style window visors

My weapons in the car(Swords and 4 staffs)

Blue Racing Pedals to match the color of my car.

After my knee surgery, I had to use these darn things everywhere!

Hope you enjoyed my Fit Saga. :-)

Ok my name is justin i have had my fit for a little over a year now and i still love and drive the same as the first day i got it... With one exception, I found a drag strip nearby that does midnight madness every friday last weekend was it's first race the crowds reaction was amazing i was the only one there that night to get a standing ovation as i pulled up to stage... Suprizingly enough i ran a 10.34 in the 1/8th... my fit is still stock as of right now... i think this exhaust would be a great start to something that is going to be amazing in the future. And help me in my goal to see how much true hp and what kind of track times i can pull out of the 1.5L beast... Thank you for this opportunity and good luck to everyone else as well... Fit Freaks!!

Future Mods to the Fit

[

[quote]

Hey guys I bought my Fit in Jan of 2007 out of desperate need for a new car. My previous car which was a 2003 honda civic lx was slowly dying out, Now while I love that car I also have fallen in love with this Fit. I was too happy that when I brought it I notice that my car came with hubcaps instead of the 15in rims but hey I wanted won really bad. Since I had this car its done miracles for me and my wife. I fit a washer and dryer in the Fit believe it or not, but not in the same trip. Hey when something is free you have to act. The most that I have put the Fit to was packing our whole lives in there and moving to Oklahoma City. My car looked like a lowrider but somehow it still made it here with no problems. The Fit is the only car that I a 6.0 ft 300 person fits in very well. You can say that I fit in the Fit. I used my car to go to work and school and its a champ. I believe we went 375 miles on a tank once. Very great car.I HAVE TO THANK MY WIFE FOR CHOOSING A GREAT CAR.

Future mods and Iwant to make is:

Exhaust system
Carbonfiber intaKE
Honda HFP Wheels
Nothing to crazy to change the reliability of the car.
Also change the car color to smoke silver.
