Thumbs up

I got my Fit about three weeks ago as my previous car (an '89 Chevy Corsica) was rapidly approaching its death. As such, I haven't done much of anything to it so it is still completely stock. It has however been driven just over 2000 miles and various generations of my family all find it an excellent car. Currently it is playing a crucial role in moving me to a new apartment.

But, time for pictures...

And as I discovered today...a Fit can also be a bed! Move the front seats all the way forward and lean them all the way forward. We had a futon mattress in there quite nicely.

Now with over 3000 miles on it after just over a month of owning it. And I am now completely moved. Wouldn't have been possible without the Fit!

I used to be a major VW fanatic , but with all the problems that it was giving me, I can’t justify spending all the money just to repair it and also the down time due to all the problems. So I jumped to the other side of the spectrum and brought a Honda

I believe the key points to the Honda Fit is its fun factor, practicality, efficiency, and of course, handling. On the other hand, it needs a little more ‘kick’ and being that its an economy car, it doesn’t hurt to add some creature comfort features. As for looks, I just find the car to be too tall/narrow, so a set of beefy wheels/tires are much needed. So those are the main areas that I want to work on.

Currently some of my mods include:
  • Coilovers
  • Cold air intake
  • Front/Rear strut bar (Rear not installed due to cargo space)
  • C-pillar bar

Mods I plan to add:
  • T1R grounding kit/voltage stabilizer/ignition booster
  • Lightweight drive pulley
  • Lightweight wheels (wide and low offset (7” and ET35 or lower), along with beefy tires (215 or 220) and a lot of work to accommodate the wide wheels/tires)
  • Front sway
  • Rear sway
  • 4 point lower tie bar
  • Roll center adjusters
  • Stainless Steel lines (I have a set of Brembo blanks and Hawk HPS waiting to go on)
  • Mugen Short Shifter (Mugen sport pedals sitting at home)
During the process of doing that, I would like to get my hands on a full exhaust to complete my I/H/E and to finish with the basic bolt on parts. As with many Fit owners, I plan to drop in a K-series a few years down the road, but I would like to have the car fully prepared before the power comes. Like the Pirelli slogan, “Power is nothing without control”.

As for creature comfort:
So far, I’ve got the Zeta dead pedal and the OEM passenger side vanity mirror. But I would like to add..
  • Overhead console
  • JDM armrest
  • OEM maplights w/home link
  • Chrome interior door handles
  • LED dome light
  • Last but not least... Strip the interior and sound proof the whole car (feels a little bare sometimes, especially with the stereo on.)

With all that said, my Fit and I has been through a lot. I've included a few below:
  • Import Car Show/ Moving Billboard
  • Autocross

  • Lapping events

  • All kinds of Different weather...

  • Photoshoots

  • Best of all, I've created a local club called “Toronto Fit Club”

Thanks for reading!

Believe me, man. I'm dying right now. I'm stuck in Florida (for a mixture of reasons: personal, business, and pleasure) and my Fit is in NY. I'm currently begging my boss to let me come home for at least a couple of days so I can take pictures and post before the end of the month. I did my write-up already and it's ready to go. I may have ended up with a literature so I'll try cutting it down not to bore anyone.

Thanks, man--for not competing that is.

Fit Contest

I have had the 07 Honda Fit for a year and 5 months, 3rd one to get it in the tri state area.

This is the Dealership that I have bought it from. Not to mention, this is also where I work. Honestly, I do love it here. This is my Home away from Home.

Ever since I bought the Fit, I have never ever let this thing get dirty. Even in the winter it is washed and waxed. Some people say I have a problem. They don't understand!

Now I know it doesn't look like an action shot, but that's because my girlfriend's camera has a very fast shutter.

This is what I do in my spare time. Everybody at work said that I am going to rub the paint off this thing.

This is where I love to take pictures. It looks so much better at night, unfortunately I do have a pic at night but I won't put it up on here because you really can't see the Fit.

This picture really shows the beauty of Siebon Carbon Fiber on this black shiny 07 Honda Fit.

The closest I could come to Italy.

This is by far the Family Favorite picture, if you know what I mean.
All Photos Where taken by my Fiance, Dori. Thanks Dori.

I would love to get the T1R Damper Kit for the Fit, next with the T1R carbon Intake, and Mugen Short Shifter to make for a more sporty feel. Why not, after all the times that I have raced on exit ramps and curvy roads it seems as if the Fit just out handles even the BMW 325i. Yes this is with factory suspension, and yes this is true. Sorry to all that spent so much on German Engineering. My goal with my Fit, is to Later on down the line, Installing a K20A2 Motor with a Acura RSX Type S tranny and Individual Throttle Body. Yeah, just like the one in the Magazines. I know, I am a poser. Anyway I know this will take some time, so I am going to just go with the Turbo kit from AJ-Racing and all the other stuff that I can find on their site for the Fit. After all, they are our Honda Fit Head quarters.
Good Luck to all and to all a Goodnight.

I have my BOM Fit for about 1 year and 2 month now. I love it!
Currently my BOM Fit is ALL stock. I have CF door panel handle
rest(I guess thats what it is called) and a set of JDM L.E.D.
Tail lights which are not installed at the moment. This is
now the famobile. It replaced my 98 Acura Integra DB7
due to restoration process right now.

I use my BOM Fit for traveling and enjoyment!! I once had to
use it to load a washer and a dryer machine to our new place.
I fit 1 regular size washer in the fit! I have to make 2 trips.
Got pictures somewhere in my external hard drive in the storage
box somewhere and will try to post up later...

I plan on getting the basic suspension bolt on such as:
air suspension or a full coilover set-up, some Pacer 16" rims
(forgot the name of them). I really want to concentrate on
improving the handling, before raising the engine output...
A CF hood and rear hatch sometimes in the near future

Hmm lets see, my previous vehicle was a 14mpg couch on wheels. Its a nice change to drive something that keeps me awake. My first car was a Honda and I seem to have come full circle 25 years later with my Fit being my second Honda owned. I'm happy with the exterior as it is now. Go fast, stop better mods are always welcome though. I use my Fit for commuting to work, hauling stuff from the home improvment store and transporting the kids around (I better not have anymore as there's no more seating room )
I'd love to run some laps or autox at some point, till then I'll just keep wrenchin on it. Future mods: YES Please

I feel pretty lame for doing this, but I honestly didn't have time this month to put something grand together in hopes of "winning it all".

I have a Stock FIT still, Orange 2007 Sport Edition, Automatic.

The freebies would be nice, and technically make my car no longer a Stock FIT.

I hope I still qualify!

Off to Cali I go btw!!!

Hello, my name is Dan, I am from North East Pennsylvania. I have been around Hondas for a few years now. I first owned a 92 eg which I dumped quite a bit of money into. The second Honda in my life was my white 99 ek hatch that I ended up hydro locking, had to swap a j-spec d15b into it and sold it. After my ek, I wanted to up the ante a bit and jumped into buying an 05’ EP3, which I regretted without doing research first. Only about 8 months later I traded in my EP3 for my beloved SSM Honda Fit MT.

I am going to college to become a Registered Nurse and I travel about 50-100 miles a day. So, I needed something better on gas than the EP3, but also wanted to stay with Honda because this is what I know and love. Right now I am averaging between 34-40mpg with mixed driving. I love the space the Fit provides very easily. The first modification I did to the Fit was taking it for some tint. I ended up getting 20% all around, and it really settled well with me with the black and silver contrast. The second modification, which is currently in the mail, are the front + rear strut bars from A-Spec and a T1R Carbon Fiber Chambered Intake . For future modifications I want to get a nice new Cat-back, T1R coils, J’s Racing lower tie bar, J’s Racing C-pillar bar, T1R under-brace, Progress sway bar, Zeta Dead Pedal, Mugen SS, and a set of wheels, once I decide upon them that is, since I am very picky. I want to keep my Honda Fit tastefully modified without going crazy cause of the winters here in Pennsylvania.

My overall experience so far with the fit has been a delight. And I plan on being part of FitFreak for years to come.

My Ek hatch that I sold for the EP3

With the J-D15B the little motor had some balls, especially when I was throwing an additional 50shot at it.

Old EP3 that I traded in for the Fit

My Current Love (Car Wise)

Well today was that time of the week again for a bath and waxing. Every single week she gets another coat of wax to keep that paint looking good.

Wow look at that shine

Haily says she loves the Fit's spacious cargo area for long trips.

After writing this up I needed a cold one......Or a few lol

I Love My Fit As Much As A Man Could Love A Car!

Hello all, had my fit for nearly 3 months now. I mostly use it for commuting to work and school. I go to KU (University of Kansas) and this is my daily driver. For fun, I just like to take it out for a spin, but don't street race it b/c well, it's not very fast. I have however crashed a Team-Integra meet, lol to show them who's boss.

I do want to begin modding the engine, so I decided to get a baseline run for it. That way, whatever mods I decide to bolt on, I'll have an idea of how much they really helped. Here's my Fit on the ole treadmill, working out it's legs.

I've added a k&N filter, hoping to improve mpg b/c I'm a broke college student, every penny counts! In the meantime, I threw on the trusty tow hook, you know to haul any cars from the ditches.. lol jp more like to get my butt hauled.. L15 power w00ts

My future plans are an exhaust and CAI. I'm skeptical of a CAI b/c I've hydrolocked my integra before but I think I should be fine w/ this car b/c the intake is on the driver's sold.. away from MOST puddles =) heheh

I've lowered the fit too, just to get a better feel w/ the road, and added 16x7 wheels, lighter w/ nicer tires =) that'll get me around town in fashion. I hope to keep the Fit N/A and as a daily driver so my mods are coming in slow, but thoughtfully. I hate to add anything that I feel I will regret later and end up wasting money.

I'm sure I'll keep you guys updated with the fit. I had fun writing this post, just an everyday kind of car for me!

Talking Racing Rubber

<-------------The rolling stock used in this picture of my Fit at the OKSCCA were 99 civic si wheels (painted black) and Kumho Ecsta V700 205/50/15. At the time of the picture the DOT legal slicks were the only mod. I handled so well and outperformed many vehicles with superior power. Also the A-spec muffler is starting to rust around the tip and hanger strap, an AJ racing cat back would be a great replacement! Good luck all and may the best Fit win!

Sweet Jeez!

A lot of really nice cars competing this month! I'll give it a try. Please click on the picture below to be redirected to a surprise. I got carried away as soon as I got home this afternoon. Many thanks to my bro for helping me with this car.

Good luck to everyone here!

Also, if you look at the site by clicking on the image above, you will find out that my Acura has been totaled. Fortunately, my brother salvaged all that can be salvaged from the car. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a picture of the car because I was confined in the hospital while it was being towed away. My brother, an artist, is nice enough to give me a bit of a tribute to my Integra. And I'd like to share that image with you guys (hope you like it).

Bernardio's MR Fit Sport MT

After 9 short months of Jeep Liberty ownership, I realized that I'm not the guy that enjoys SUVs or rugged type vehicles. While driving home from work I traded the Jeep, AKA "Thirsty" in for our new MR Honda Fit MT. The Fit was going to be my commuting buddy which would lend well to mild mods and give my growing family another car with space for a FitFreak, a wife, a toddler and a newborn. The Fit does has a suprisingly large amount of interor room. The two child seats (forward and rear facing) fit nicely without compromising my driving position and the truck is large enough to haul the strollers and support bags along with tons of groceries from our family Costco runs.

When it's just me in the car, I really get to enjoy the handling and nimbleness of the Fit. With the performance additions I have done so far, the car really makes city commuting a blast. The Fit flies through corners and turns on a dime. It also has enough power to zip past those pesky big-rigs on the freeway without sounding like a swarm of angry bees. I would love to add more power down the road when money and time allow. Headers, intake, pulley, b-pipe are all in the future plans, but first I'd like to get wheels and tires to complete the exterior look of the Fit.

I'm totally hooked on the Fit and it only gets better with every mile!!

Isn't she pretty?

Shiny and new..

Little car = Big Fun

All this in one little car!!
