mugen_dom,
did you get your key cut already?

do you need to switch the chip before you can program the lock, unlock, and panic buttons? If you do.... i feel the need for a DIY to be done

basically, yes.

you may need to replace the TL chip with the fit chip prior to programming it.

So the only thing you need the dealership to do is to cut the key? And you can program the remote TL fob to unlock, lock, etc. on your Fit by yourself? I don't understand the part where Mugen_Dom said you have to unlock the memory seat function. Lastly you would have to implant the Fit's key immobilizer into the TL's key right?

***Update***
I was reading and i think to unlock the memory seat function you just press the "Lock" and "Unlock" button as the same time until the LED blinks twice. Someone verify this?

Yep. You dont need a dealer to program the key, it is a series of pressing keys on the remote, and turning the key in the ignition, etc. From what i read its fairly simple. The only difficulty would be implanting the immobilizer. I cant wait for this mod

FYI

I did the immobilizer transplant last night. It's not as hard as i thought. Took me about 15 minutes.

I'm going to see if i can get the key cut sometime today and if it works, then i'll do a DIY.

Cheers!

Congrats man, ill be looking forward to this DIY.

BTW: Where's the best price to get the Key fob at? I checked on Acura Parts @ AcuraAutomotiveParts.org - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Acura Carland and its $59.67. Best price i found so far.

I would be happy with the conversion from the Base Remote with separate Key to Sport Base with embedded key. Anyone done this?

Thanks,
