Awww, poor Fit. I was driving through hardcore rain today!!! Ive never seen so many puddles. Good thing I coasted through the deep puddles with my foot on the clutch. The TB closes completely at idle.

Don't worry! If I ever match the Mega-Millions numbers I'll upgrade all of us to S2000's!

I know AEM has that anti-hydrolock insert, but the downside is for most intakes you would end up cutting your pipe up to put it in.

Just thinking outloud... Would be neat if somebody offered a pressure valve that could be drilled and inserted into an aftermarket pipe so that once a certain vaccum in the intake has been reached it would open the valve and relieve the pressure thus protecting the engine from water. Hmmmmm, if it was sensitive enough you could put a smaller filter on it and it would relieve that initial throttle responce gap too whenever you stomp the gas too. I wonder if anything like that exists out there?

Oh yeah, I will take a Yellow S2000 by the way

Sucks Wave.

I've got the INJEN CAI on my Fit now too, and I worry when it rains in B'ham. I know where most of the big holes are so I try to avoid them.

Nothing wrong with the INJEN CAI....I just removed all the tubes and turned it into a SRI

Exclamation Moving on to chamber type intakes

Update - turning the Injen CAI to an SRI has been "acceptable". The CAI was obviously better performance wise IMHO but after this most recent episode, never again.

However, it looks like there is another option for me to check out: H-Fit's Supa Sucka Chamber Intake (pretty cool name ) I guess I should try it out...

Yes, DeadPoet, you were the first one I thought of when reading this thread, since we live in the same town and it has been raining so much lately. Keep it out of those holes!

Wave, I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Good thing Gettinafit is where he is and who he is.

My 03 Tiburon GTV6 Hydrolocked also! I had an Injen CAI on it and was driving through a downpour hi a puddle and it froze up almost immediatly. So i got a tow to a parking lot where i reinstalled my stock intake then got it towed to hyundai and said WTF? And they replaced the engine for me. Gotta love that warranty. but then had a kid and needed a backseat as per the FIT!
