removing rear seats
takes like 5 mins. remove the clips that clip onto the back of the seat that is attached to the cargos carpet (just pull the carpet on they will come out). after that just use a 14mm socket to take off the bolts holding the seats down. easy as that
if you are trying to cut the weight of your car down, it's nice to know the exact amount...
i personally wouldn't remove them...looks much cleaner folded down...unless the OP is running a full cage, i see no point...if its for 1/4 mile times 100lbs knocks .1 off your time...theoretically...the seats might weigh 30lbs if he's lucky...
reason behind this plz?
I'm lazy and don't want to take them out if they only weigh in at 25-30lbs. But if they weight alot more than that, then I don't mind going through the trouble.
The rear seats weight between 60 - 70 pounds. This includes the seat rest along with both back rest and the head rests.
You can include another 8 pounds for removing ALL rear seat belts along with ALL the bolts.
If you are looking at removing the spare tire including the jack and tools you are looking at about 15 - 20 pounds.
