Help!

Okay I have about 15K miles on my fit. About 700 miles ago my rear shock blew out (completely stock no after market parts). Honda replaced it no problem and did an alignment. Still the ride feels very irratic(sp). Basically when I go over even very small bumps in the road the car goes to that side. When I turn the wheel it does not really respond still wants to go the other way. Honda said the wheels need to be balanced. I did that and still feels the same. A friend of mine said might be the wheel bushing is bad. How could this be with just 15K miles. What does it feel like when the wheel bushing is bad? any Idea's... other than this I have had no problems and love my fit. Thanks for any help guys!

Did they replace the shocks on both sides?

Does anybody know what it sounds/feels like when you have a bad wheel bearing (sp?) When I stop it feels like the passenger front wheel is wobbling?

YEAH i had one bad wheel bearing the other day. somehow i fixed it. but the rotors jiggled way to much. im talking with the wheel off i could move the rotor back and forth. it was BAD. my rotors got eated up by the brake pad shims. i have yet to bring it in, but this sucks hard.

i feel your pain man...exept mine made a nasty sound when i turned my wheel and accelerated. like a grinding sound.

Maybe you just have loose shock mounts. Try grabbing the unit and shaking it. A jiggly feeling could mean the upper or lower bushings are worn or that the nuts holding the shock in place are loose.

wait...I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! It's funny, it started after i installed my b-pipe on my car! When i accelerate in first or second gear in WOT, the car makes this nasty grinding sound. Also, if i'm in second gear at about 40mph (S-mode of course) and i tap the gas, i feel this REALLY BAD clunk.....can ANYBODY tell me wtf is going on? I thought it was the b-pipe but i put the stock one and it still makes the same noise and clunking sound.

My brakes are working fine and everything but maybe a wheel bearing went bad?

I think I have a similar problem.
Sometimes it makes this CLUNK sound when I try to accelerate and it kinda feels like I'm loosing power for a split second.

THAT sounds as if something wasn't put back correctly....uneven torque on the lug nuts for example. Or, rusty/warped front brake rotors...??

In my experience bad wheel bearings will be noisy when "loaded", that is, will "sing" during braking or left/right curves. (Not your problem.)

Take it back to the dealer, ask to have a technician ride with you so he can experience what you are feeling. Communication is everything! It will be time well spent especially since your car is under warranty.

PS I would "suggest" that BOTH rear shocks should have been replaced. If you were paying for a shock replacement the shop would have insisted on doing both sides...

For me it's not a wheel bearing, doesn't sound like that.
Why did your Honda dealer made an alignment just to replace
the rear shock ? it's not needed since our rear suspenssion
in a torsion beam and not ajustable.

I think that they messed up the alignment in front or the tires
pressure is not correct. You could also look for loose bolt on
the rear shock mount. Wheel bearing have nothing to do with
handlind except if it's soo loose that you can see it moving...

To much toe out in the front = all over the place
To much toe in in the front = don't wanna turn

okay well I checked bolts , shacked the wheels everything seems fine there.. I'm going to bring it back in to have them check the alignment. I figured the Alignment was off but since they said they did one when they replaced the shock I figured it should be good. Thanks for the help I let ya'll know the outcome.
