Any chance up re-upping the DIY pics? That would be greatly appreciated.

I want to add another voice to this chorus. Would love to hear GE8 stories and see the DIY pics--thanks!

Hi! Anybody interested in doing this for me for a fee? My brother loves his Fit and I thought this would be a great Christmas present for him! I'm located in San Diego, so the closer the better. My brother has the 08 Fit Sport model and the FCC ID is 0UCG8D-380H-A.

I'd also like to know if it's been done on the 09. I'll be getting one soon and this would be a great accessory. Also wondering if the TSX key is the same size/shape as the TL. Pretty good deals on them on eBay.

Hey peeps here is my supplement to this MOD. I did the Trunk delete. I wrote this a while back when I did mine. I also found that my 08 had the same chip as the TL.I also have all the part numbers and pics still up to help.

Might have some good news for 09+ folks. Although the FCC ID Niko provided doesn't match the 07-08 TL keys, I found one that does.

The new 09+ TSX keys have exactly the same FCC ID and ID so they should work. Others can confirm:
FCC ID: MLBHL1K-1T
ID: 2500A-HL1K1T

The even better news is that it's cheaper than the TL key. The 09+ TSX key can be had for under $35.

If anyone decides to try it out, you can use comptrekkie's guide above this post. It helped when I did mines.

-Cheers

Either should work. When you program it, you need to disable the memory seat function either way.

Well, I just put an order in for the blank and the RDX cover. I guess we'll see what happens.

Let us know how it works out. I ordered the TL key first thinking it might work, then saw that they have different FCC ID, so I ordered the TSX key as well... just waiting to actually get the car now! Once I do I will be selling one or the other

just check around. it can get relatively cheap. Mine was from a dealer that happens to sell on eBay.

eBay Motors 2009 TSX key Mem-2

and you can ask them about getting the RDX cover for a trunk delete.

it works it works!

Just got the dealer to program the key today, and isn't she a beauty! I know it's a small thing, but it's the little things we appreciate in life. ^^ All told, it was about 80 bucks start to finish. About 30 for the key, 10 for the cover, and 40 for him to program it.

It was only $40 for the cut and program altogether? By program it, do you mean you swapped the immobilizer and they synced the remote to your car, or did they program the immobilizer to match your car as well?

I guess this means I can get rid of the blank TL key that I initially ordered since the TSX key worked for the '09.

In Response to mchoffa

Dealer cut the key for free, charged me $40 for labor. And when I say program, I mean you actually got to take the key to the dealer for programming, because now the immobilizer's not in the fob, so you can't just switch the chip out.
