Remove the instrument cluster
pretty simple actually.... First pull out the rings; this will take some force but with steady pressure, u'll get It out cause it's only held on by clips. Next remove the screws that are holding the cluster in place. Then unclip the wiring harnesses that connect to the cluster. That simple.
Edit, u'll also need to remove the big plastic bill looking like thing that "shades" the cluster in order to get to the screws holding the cluster in place.

sorry I was way off -- I just realized what u asked
my bad
okay let me clarify this for ya. It's very easy.
The rings around the console, those are clipped into there. U need 2 grab it and pull it straight towards you.

Here is the back just 2 show u where those clips are.

Once u remove that, u will see 4 screws holding the gauge cluster on. There are two on top and two underneath (in those channels). There are a total of 4 screws holding the cluster in place.

Hope this helps!

anyone know how to remove the little hood over the instrument cluster..
nice info for the removal of the cluster...
someoen needs to come up with custom overlay for the gauge cluster as in colors or added characters..
