Steering wheel not straight?

I'm noticing that I have to steer slightly to the right when driving straight...when I center the wheel it drifts left. At first I thought it might be the crown of the road but that would be the opposite, you would have to steer left if it's a severe slope. The tires are worn evenly and it does not pull at all when you let go of the wheel. It's annoying the hell out of me
Any ideas as to what is causing this??

check your allignment that seems to be the problem.

Find a level road and stick it in say 4th gear at a givin speed and just hold the trottle at the same postion and let go of the wheel. If it pulls to one side your allignement is out but be careful not to mistake the pull to one side as either a bump in the road or increase or decreasing speed.

all roads are curved, they all want to go to the left.....

you have to push slightly to the right to stay centered on your lane.

Pay attention to that bit.

I noticed it too long ago. And I've had 2 sets of tires since I've purchased my car.

No alignment problems.

EDIT: hmm, now that I think about it, I do drive on the right side of the road...

I have to rethink why mine has been doing that too... maybe low on power steering fluid?

I'll check that tomorrow morning.

I thought alignment may be out as well but there is no drift at all when I let go of the wheel.

your car may be tracking straight, but you just need them to realign it so that your steering wheels is straight.

I may have to do that soon...

but mine does drift once in a while, but I think that;s the curve of the road.

check tire pressure check alignment.

it's best to have a predetermined road you know that is relatively
flat. larger parking lots are somethings good for this.

I have the same problem with my car the wheel is just a little off center and it drives me crazy sometimes but im to lazy to take it to the dealer. Its like when the wheel was installed it is off by one tooth or so but i just try not to think of it.

just take it to any alignment shop. tell them your stering wheel isnt straight and they will adjust both tie rods the same direction so you toe isnt off and it will make the steering wheel go straight.

Exactly right...had it done and I'm a happy camper. Everything was in spec so I'm not sure how the tie rods went "sideways".

Anyone notice that the steering wheel column is angled slightly to the left, so that the steering wheel is closer to your right hand then the left when you are driving in the 10 - 2 position? Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It is very subtle and has taken around 3 years of driving for me to notice. Was just wondering if it's my car, or all GD3's.
