i am not sure what this is? you can see in the 2nd picture that it starts there, comes towards the front of the car, then stops right there in the 1st picture.


what is that? and why does it come out only about a 1' then isn't attached to anything else?

 

probably an overflow hose / vent hose. they are common, especially in cooling systems. havent seen that in my 08, but also havent looked. where is it in the car?
