i have an 07 fit... and so...
i was over my friends house for like 2 hours up here in CT and it is balls cold lately, but that doesnt have anything to do with my problem....

anyways it got to be 9pm and i was gonna go home, and i get in my car, go down the driveway... turn on my lights, everything is working fine... im going on high beams... and then after a min a car is oncoming and i go to my low beams, and i have no low beams !!! i try everything, and i pull over my car to turn it off and then on again, and nothing.. the only things that workd were my fogs, parking and high beams.. so i had to piss a bunch of ppl off with high beams. but then the next day, im driving with my low beams out , during the day, and it got cold, so i go to turn on the fan... and it doesnt work !

i click on the a/c button and the rear defrost buton, and they do not light up, meaning tha tlike power isn;t being delivered to them, and the fan does not go on, even when turning the dial to 4th speed and stuff.. and you cant hear the fan turning on, and u can usually..

and so the fan, a/c, deforst buttons dont work and my low beams are shot.

i think it must have been some kind of electrical short circuit or something. because i checked all the fuses with my uncle and all the relays, i even bought a replacement relay from my Honda dealership, and that was not the problem either.

later i go to take out my bulbs to see the obvious... to see if they burned out, but i didnt think that they would have since both of them were out at once, which is rarely the case.

and on both bulbs, the low beams are burnt.. the springs are completely gone in the bulbs.. i get new bulbs.. and my lights(low/high beams) are working fine.. but the fan console inside the car still is not working

so yeah, i was thinking to make an appointment at the dealership.. but just like everyone else's car, its modified inside and out.. and i dont want them to flip when they see it, and be like "we're not fixing ur car, ur warranties taken away..."

 

You'd be surprised what cold will bring out. Two years ago we had a very very cold night that killed an ABS control module, the fan control, some emissions purge valve, and both lowbeams on the CRV, plus the ignitor and my driver's lowbeam on the civic - all dead by the next morning. It was nuts considering it happened when we were OUT OF TOWN

I believe it got to -29F that night.

 

hmm interesting, i just hope that when i take it to the dealership monday, that they dont start bothering me about whats under the hood
