Black wheel scuff repair?
Black wheel scuff repair?
In all my five years (haha) of driving I've never scuffed my wheels... Till today. F me... On my black wheels... F me in the A!
Anyone know how to repair this scuff? I can try getting some pictures up soon. But if you'd like to know the colour, please click the link in my sig.

This will have to be filled with metal filler or bodywork filler (I think you call it Bondo or something in US), key, prime, paint.
Should be quite an easy job to do but you will need to get the colour match near perfect.
I would also suggest getting the wheel balanced after.

There's always a first time for everything! You can either just touch it up with a touch-up pen or respray it. This is a fairly good how-to... I didn't write it but as I've done a fair bit of bodywork repair before let me know if you want to know anything.

I read that article on autopia. In fact, it's the only thing I can find on this topic. Problem is, 1) I can't find that Wurth paint anywhere, 2) can't find any other one either.
Edit: does the clear laquer take on the colour of the wheel?

Lacquer or Clearcoat is the final transparent colourless coat you apply to give the paint a deep shine which is common with most cars these days. It also protects the paint from scratches and grime etc. Without it the paint would look matt.
Looking at your photos it doesn't look as if there is a clear coat on your wheels as it does look quite matt. I think there is only a basecoat (colour coat) applied.
If I were to repair this wheel I would paint the whole wheel rather than a small spot so that it is seamless, you may want to remove the inner section of the wheel first.
The key thing with these repairs is preparation. The more effort you spend preparing the wheel for paint the less work you have later on. Also don't rush the job when painting, you want to spray light even coats leaving time between coats for it to dry.
