The power to weight ratio should be your primary concern. The 60lb speaker box will be offset by the reduction in paint mass on the vehicle (slightly).

Every bit helps!

JK. I will call up Griots Garage on Monday regarding the trim. They have a 800 number on their site to call if you need this info sooner. I can attest that they stand behind their products and have excellent customer service.

I have the guard my mechanic picked it up wholesale for me along with a few other things. he even installed it for me.. but it's easy i could have done it. you do need a bottle of rubbing alcohol. cause you need to be sure the surface is clean and free of any grease and dirt. We used something else to clean the area off.. but you don't want to use water or soap cause you want a dry surface. blow off the dirt, then use the alcohol over the area.. center then do one half then the other... there is a plastic 'rubber' for smoothing it down.

I load music equipment too, and wanted to protect the bumper surface, so I put on a Honda bumper applique. Installation was childishly simple, just take your time and use the rubber thing to chase any bubbles out from undeneath.

Yes, it is basically friction tape. And while it may seem thin and "cheap" I'll wager it will wear longer and better than some of those thicker rubber-look non-Honda options that are more sensitive to UV damage etc.

I'm happy with it and given its apparent durability I'm not sure it was overpriced afterall.

Looks kinda sporty with the (matching black) splash guards--the only other add-ons on my Fit.

I put it on myself and got it a little off, but no one notices until I mention it
