Fit "pops" out of 1st when shifting into 2nd
i noticed yesterday that it doesnt always do it, ive purposely tried to rush it and pull on the shifter before i depress the clutch, it seems there is no reason for it. 
i heel toe on the twisties! i love the close together pedal placement on the fit for this reason

nah, the gear selector lever is right under the battery tray for GD's. not sure where it would be for the GE but i would assume it's in the same general area.
instructions are simple enough. disconnect the shift linkage then remove 4 10mm bolts and the whole lever pulls out of the trans. i should have made a DIY but i had greasy hands and only my iphone at the time.
