Some times when i hold the staring wheel i get black stuff on my hands. Looks like the staring wheel is peeling. What can i do to stop this from happing any more? I have a fit sport 07 model.

Have you tried cleaning and treating it with a good leather cleaner? I personally use a leather care product for mine by Zaino and my wheel seems to be holding up well despite it being exposed to the sun while in parking lots for hours.

Give that a try or check out the Fit Care section of the forum for alternative cleaning/treatment products to remedy your steering wheel's peeling.
