2008 Fit horn problem

All,

I had finally just bought a 2008 base Fit after years of browsing this forum.

Everything's been great however, I had just run into some problems. When I honk the horn the Brake light and the ABS light would appear and stay on. The hand brake is not lifted up.

Now sometimes it doesn't show up but if you keep honking long enough, those lights would come back without fail.

Would any of you know how to fix this or what the problem may be?

Thanks!

And by the way, when I turned off then engine and started it back up, the lights are gone.

Try checking if your brake lights still work. The brake lights and horn share the same circuit, the same fuse.

I would have your horn looked at, it might be showing signs of shorting out. When mine did two years ago, I had to avoid pressing the horn button because it would mean the fuse would go and my brake lights would stop working.

Brake lights are still working fine, but I can have the horn looked at. And the ABS light? Its color is amber.
