Light switch problem.. Hard to fix???

So with the low beam on and the right turn signal on, if I wiggle the switch just a little the high beam will engage. Feels like the contact in the switch is not working right.

Is it hard to remove the switch unit and try to fix the contact myself? Should I just buy a new switch ? Or should I just pay the mechanic to fix it?

Thanks

I got a letter for the recall but is it related to my problem??

The recall mentioned light harness but if there is any detail of what to be fix that would be great.

Part of that recall is to replace the entire switch assembly, IF IT APPEARS DAMAGED. Talk nicely to the service advisor, and they might just decide you need the full replacement for free. If not, you'd just be out the part cost for the switch.

If you're interested, NHTSA has the text instructing the dealerships on what to do here:http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/do...0V624-9345.pdf
