Hello fellow members,

Just wondering if anyone else ran into a problem like i have so here it goes. My car is at 103k miles and just recently i have been getting this check engine code P2138 "Throttle Pedal Position" or something like that. What happened was i sat at a red light and the light turns green. I clutch in and gas then less than 5 feet my car lost power to the pedal. i had to push the pedal in about 50% of the way to actually get the car moving to a good pace. Of course my CEL turns on and i had a straight stretch of road so i turn off and turned back on the car and it drives normal again. A few days pass and it happens again. Now my car feels slightly slower than usual and we all know they are slow enough. Any ideas? i've read on other forums about the code and a few people would replace the whole gas pedal assembly and it was a fix for it. No telling on how long it will last but atleast its a fix. A friend of mine said that there was an update for the ECM for our cars and i should take it to the dealer. They said $120 est. price to update it but thats if they dont run into any problems. I changed my spark plugs and got a full tune up back on 98k and never changed my coilpacks because i never ran into that problem.
