Rubber under front of car torn!

There is a rubber section under front of car that pulled down when I hit a curb while parking. I need to get a new piece but don't know what it's called or where to get it. Does anyone know the name of this piece?

You mean I can just remove it and not worry about it? Do you know the purpose of it? It must be shielding something.

It's rubber, a flat rubber piece about 4 feet long, that used to screw into the bottom of the front bumper and then continues under the car for about 4 feet.

It's common for the "anchors" (<---- notice the quotes ) to pull out when the bottom of the bumper is scraped. ~ $3 each

Do you think it is #11 in this picture? (Courtesy Bernardi Honda, bernardiparts.com)

Clips are # 44, 45, 46, 47

That is called a spoiler...it's purpose is to increase aero efficiency by keeping airflow from under the car.
$75 retail

Some would say it makes an excellent curb feeler!

Was there a photo attached? I didn't see one so not sure what #11 is that you're referring to.

The piece I'm referring to is not the front spoiler. It is a rubber piece that is not seen visually when you are looking at the front of the car- unless like mine it is hanging down because the anchors pulled out and ribbed the rubber.

The piece is called the front air spoiler. Like carbuff said it deflects air and creates turbulence to improve aero efficiency. The clips have popped most likely, unless the rubber spoiler is torn, then it all needs to be replaced. Dealer should be able to fix at minimal cost [if any] to you if clips only. Go to bernardiparts.com, work you way in by make/model/year to search for the clips for a DIY. You'll find it as part of the front bumper [Interior/Bumper] is how they class it.

Sorry 'bout that, it was a dealer parts diagram at Honda Parts and Honda Accessories from Bernardi Parts - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

Go to the link above, and grind thru the models/years until you get to the Interior/Bumper parts section. The diagram is there.

That part was torn from my car so long ago, I had forgotten that it was ever on it... I worried about it a bunch because the car was new but in time I realized that without a road to my house I wouldn't have a new one on for long before it was shredded also. My guess is that the missing piece increases wind velocity directly under the engine compartment and helps draw hot air that passes through the grilles, radiator and A/C condenser out of the engine compartment... Since my car has never over heated, I think I can do without it until something better come along.

^^^ Nice to know, TC

It's worth stating that manufacturers do hot weather testing on prototype cars in the hottest parts of the world. So some of the things that are installed may NOT be necessary in all locales.
