My car came with a clear door edge film that wraps around the edge of the door on the inside and outside of the door for about 1/4" on both sides.

Has anyone safely removed this themselves or should I get a detailer to do it?

 

Easy to do with a hairdryer BUT the goop that is left is a pain. goo be gone looks like the best goo remover but plain old enamel paint thinner works good too. Be sure to do a test in a spot the doesn't show before trying on the door edges.
