All Keyed Up

Hello, I'm having an issue with my beloved 2007 base model Fit, Holly Honda. I've seen somewhat similiar threads on this page, but none that match the situation exactly.

I took my Fit in to the dealership for the most recent power window recall, during which the door was undoubtedly opened up. I drove away and I don't remember any issues the rest of that day. The next morning, the key would not open the driver's side door lock at all. The key would go all the way in, but not turn the lock. It happened to be a particularly cold morning, so I thought maybe some ice had gotten into the lock. This condition persisted the rest of that day, then magically returned to normal the next day, continuing to be fine for the next 2 months.

A week ago, this issue popped up again, and shows no signs of changing. Details: I do not have remote entry. I sprayed my key with WD40 to see if that would help; it didn't. The key works just fine in the ignition, back hatch, and passenger door. The spare key will not work in the driver's side door either.

I am wondering the following: is it possible that something got misaligned when the dealership opened up the door to work on the window switches? If not, what could be the issue? Normal wear and tear on the lock cylinder? Is this an expensive repair?

Thank you to any responders in advance!

Put some graphite in the lock cylinder.
