Does our a/c clutch plate have some friction material? I'm thinking my ac clutch is squealing. I did take the clutch plate off. it looks like its wearing evenly. I did not see any friction material, don't know if it should have any.

 

I had the same issue but it turned out it wasn't the clutch but the pulley bearing. That should fix any noise issues
