Anyone with A/C clutch issues?

When my local Honda service dept was doing transmission work on my car, they told me that my A/C clutch was rusty and would probably need replacement at some point. My car has never been driven in the ocean, in fact it's been in LA for over 2 years, so salt shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone with rusted A/C clutch?

Well you don't drive in the ocean, but if you live in LA you live quite near the ocean and you are dealing with the salty air, so I guess it's possible.

Rusty clutch? That's an odd thing to look at for no apparent reason. Yeah, they can do it but it doesn't always mean much other than it's been used, and it depends on what the person looking at it was thinking.
Does it look like the steel clutch plate has been overheated?
Does the AC work OK? Is the pulley bearing noisy?

"At some point" could be years down the road, or not.
I'd probably leave it alone until there's a problem.

They didn't say anything about overheating. I did have A/C issues maybe 2 years ago, it would work sporadically for maybe a year, but for some reason it has been fine since. Not sure what the pulley bearing is, but I don't notice any unusual noise when using A/C.

Thanks.
