4th gear wont work

I have an 08 honda fit sport auto. Never had any issues such as slips, pops etc... I was getting on the highway today and car just revved high around 5k.... I immediately pull over... Checked fluids...fluids were good... Tried again, same thing...put it in "s" mode and when it enters 4th gear just revs like its in neutral... Manually shift to 5th and car goes fine... 1st , 2nd and third gears are also acting normal.... Any help will be appreciated.

Based on the symptoms you described, it sounds like your Honda Fit is experiencing transmission problems. When the car enters 4th gear, it seems to be slipping or disengaging, causing the engine to rev high.

A common cause of this issue is low transmission fluid levels or a problem with the transmission's clutch or gears. However, it could also be a problem with the transmission control module or other electronic components.

I would recommend taking your Honda Fit to a qualified mechanic for a diagnosis. They will be able to perform a series of tests to determine the exact cause of the issue and recommend the appropriate repairs.
