Hi All,
the other day I accidentally set off the alarm in town...and had my key which would not turn it off. Drove past the police station without a problem, but couldn't turn if off until I used my wife's key . I replaced the battery twice, still mine does NOT work.
ANy ideas?

 

Does the red light illuminate on the fob when you press a button?
Battery installed backwards? (VERY common)



What year is the car?

 

No red light on fob, it goes to a 2002 Fit. Batteries were installed correctly. I double checked the one that works.

 

If red LED does not illuminate, the fob is probably just bad.
