oil leak around the flywheel cover
I just spotted an oil or clutch fluid leak showing around the bottom of the bell housing by the flywheel cover. photos included. the clutch seems to work well although I've often thought in the 2 monthjs of ownership that it should have firmer pressure. The flywheel itself looks clean. I cleaned the entire area and will check again soon to get a better idea of where it's coming from as there was alot of gunk buildup. prettysure it was coming from inside the bell housing. Any ideas?

the last person to change oil had overfilled it about half a quart above the top fill mark on the dipstick. could an extra half quart caused enough crankcase pressure to cause a rear main seal to leak. also, once it starts leaking, is it done and needing replaced? I will check the pcv valve and that system as well. I did drain the extra oil out and now have it at about 1/2 to 3/4 in between the marks on the dipstick. thanks

Was oil dripping on the ground? If not don't bother yet...the labor cost will be a lot higher than the cost of a drip.
If you are ever in there for a clutch or something, that's the time to replace it.
