Radio Display working but no sound comes out

Radio Display working but no sound comes out
I just purchased a 2008 Fit Sport
- the radio battery had been replaced so the Radio needed a code for it to be activated. I bought the car without checking the audio.
- Went to a dealer and got the code and the radio activated but no sound came out of the speakers, I can change the station and switch inputs but no sound comes out.
- I read that the smart amp can disable the audio if one speaker is shorted. So I removed each speaker one at a time and checked to see if sound would come at that point with no luck ( i also tried with both back out and both front out)
My question is what are my next steps to troubleshooting? The car otherwise runs great and after just a week ziping around in it I really love it just want some cruising tunes.
