Hi, I'm trying to swap short 6 - speed transmission from civic fk to jazz gd. Transmission is already bolted to the engine, trans mounts won't be a much trouble, but the axles don't match. Jazz have smaller inner cv joints. Is there someone who know if any other honda have 27 teeth outside and 28 outside? I have find a company that makes custom axles, but I don't have that money available to spend right now, so I'm looking for other options.
Hi ,did you ever manage to figure it out?
Looking to do the same myself and any help would be appreciated, do I need special mounts and what civic did you get the gearbox from and what was your solution for the driveshafts
Gearbox: 6 speed gearbox code SPLM from Civic FN/FK L13A7
Drive shafts: mine was custom, but you could use K20 from Civic EP, they should work.
Mounts: there are 3 mounts that have to be custom made. Lower are easy but upper one is less fun, but you can try to modify this upper mount from Jazz 3 gen with I-Shift gearbox, I should still have it but I do not tryin to modify it.
Speedo: signal is diffrent and because of that speed gauge and power steering won't work.
I've used Speedohealer for motorbikes. It was able to read signal and convert it so everything works.
Shifter: that one is tricky, cuz jazz's cables are to short. I've made custom one from from 8gen Civics but it was for racing so you should look what shifters peoples uses when k-swaped GD. I've heard that CR-Z may work.
