German ShortShift for the Fit
German ShortShift for the Fit
There's a German-made shortshift for the Jazz/Fit that reduces the shifter travel by 50%!
I'm thinking about ordering one.

Seems inexpensive enough (when the 19% VAT is deducted) but will they export?
Lately, automotive stuff has been tough out of Europe, I got flat out denied on a set of European spec headlights for a Toyota Camry. They claimed that shipping would be too high, even tho I had my own shipper lined up in Holland.....
Never was a problem 15+ years ago when I was sending stuff back and forth frequently?
Let us know a price please!

I was thinking hard about ordering one until I sat down with pictures and measurements. From reading the translated text, they claimed up to a 50% throw reduction. So, I took some measurements and extrapolated some results against Skunk2's diagrams. The tip of the Skunk2 adapter extends farther from the rotational axis of the shifter than the German shifter does. So, the Skunk2 should have a shorter throw than the German example.
Let me know if my logic seems reasonable.

Shipping on the Skunk unit would be cheaper for sure.
Hmm, David Brown, any relation to the UK tractor company/Aston Martin?
