of course....
I've tryed a BMW throttle body 68mm (drive by wire). It's a Bosch TB with the same contacts...
After installing It you'll think you are driving a diesel...

I'll show you my secret weapon!!!!!
Fit and Jazz throttle body (drive by wire) are made by Bosch....
they are like this:
**BRAND NEW**Porsche Cayenne S/Turbo gen. throttle body bei eBay Porsche, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (endet 26.09.07 14:43:59 MESZ)

They have the same contacts....
audi, bmw and usually cars made in Germany use Electronic Throttle Control (Drive By Wire or Fly By Wire)
The only thing you have to check is its voltage 0-5v.
Then you have to build a connection from your standard TB to larger TB.
It doesn't matter if you won't find water circuit on new TB...

can you do a writeup on exactly what is needed to be done, and before/after results of how it feels?

with out engine management installing a bigger TB would be a waste of time and money... we need a tunable ECU for the Fit

Really I'm not good at writing writeups, but I'll try...
Bosch Electronics Throttle bodies have the same holes attack.
There are two main differences:
- internal diameter. You'll find about 55mm on intake side and about 68mm on new TB. At this point you have to build a connection between intake and TB, with a diameter that passes from 55mm to 68mm. You can use plastic or wood or other materials.
- external diameter of TB. It's the bigger side where you have to fix air filter pipes
Maybe you'll have to bypass water cooling on some TB....
I wish my explanation is quite clear
I'll post some pictures as soos as I can.
Anyway it's a very easy DIY

PS: Regarding a tunable ECU it's true. I use APEXi SAFC II and a different ignition, but I think that a larger Tb with a good exhaust should work fine...

I got the spoon throttle body on mine and it feels great and u actually feel the difference, i didnt need to tune the ECU but i guess tuning would probably improve its current status.
