Weapon R intake : PROS & CONS

hey people

i was jsut wondering about the pros and cons on the weapon r intake for fit

can someone tell me?

Hmm.. Not sure.

Spoon says to leave the stock intake alone to keep torque, I'm probably just going to do just that and use a K&N Drop in.

Any dynos? That would be helpful..

i hear KnN's intake sound is not so good...

i don't have a dyno for weapon R

but JDM has it on their web site

would them be the same... or jsut close...

you can check the sound or weapon R on youtube...

You may keep low-end torque, but your throttle/engine response will suck. You also run out of puff from about 5k on b/c the stock box is very restrictive for noise control reasons. Replacing the OEM box is one of the first things that most owners should do.

what is the OEM box...

so i guess the overall response of my car is going to go down...
or is that just compare to other intake and not the stock one..?

if you planning to keep the stock box you can take out the air resinator, dont know if that is what it is called, if you open up the airbox, there should be a pipe connected to the bottom and will allow more air flow . with my old set up on my 93 civic couple thats what i did and attached a dryer hose from the box to the front bumper gave me low end torque but didnt get any high ends.

Does anyone know the results of the Weapon-R SW intake? I know that it is a SR, but is the Fujita SR better?
