Know anything about Borla exhausts?

I always see the ad in Road & Track, was wondering if anyone knows anything about their universal cat-back applications. I'm getting set up hopefully this spring and so far I like the Tanabe the best but would really like a dual tip look, just looks a bit more discreet to me.

Never had one personally but I know a Vette guy with Borla's on his Vette. He seems happy. I think Borla also manufactures for other brands, so even though it says one brand name, its still made by Borla. Wish I had more details but thats all I got.

i dont like the fact that you have to assemble the damn thing
with those brackets before you install. it should be welded like
a real exhaust.

functionally im sure they do all right.

from what i understand, they are kinda high rolla.

they make a lot of euro applications and they sound GREAT. When i had my rabbit, they made a killer system for it, made the 2.5 sound like an effing dinosaur.

They don't seem to be cheap though.

They're known for their catback systems, but I haven't heard many people mess with their universal mufflers.

i would assume that the exhaust note with a borla will be good.

hey thanks for all the replies, I just hadn't heard much about it around here, I'll stick with what the true Fitters know. Plus I get to keep the hope of having everything on my car Japanese.

+1

I sold my 300whp WRX for my Fit this past September and I can say for a fact that Borla is a trusted name when it comes to exhausts. The SPT (Subaru Performance Tuning) exhaust was made by Borla and it had a great sound. A lot of Subie guys also like the Borla Hush.

I on the other hand had a catless Blitz Nur-Spec R TBE and it was deafening. So I came to appreciate the Borla sound!
