Test Pipe and ep3 muffler

I want a louder exhaust but not too crazy but I would also like a nice muffler. Im thinking of deleting my cat using a test pipe and using an ep3 muffler. Whats your opinion

If youre still running the OEM B-pipe not that big of a difference will happen. Plus the Ep3 muffler is an OEM muffler, so the tone will be even lower than an aftermarket muffler.

A friend of mine has the Ep3 muffler on his Fit. Stock everything, it sounds like stock. Deleting the cat shouldnt make any difference. If anything, deeper.
Im still debating on an Ep3 muffler with my exhaust. Cat delete and a Modacrap cat-back. Im afraid Ill have that nasty after buzz as the rpms go down.

That nasty long buzz as the rpms fall. Its very common with Civics and cheap mufflers.

Straight pipe with a stock looking muffler is popular right now. IDk why? Guess it prevents cops from pulling you over and still having high flow.
Well, straight pipe with a stock muffler still has buzz its just a lower tone. And what Ive noticed the stock looking OEM mufflers have a weird after buzz also.

Me having a cat delete and a bigger B-pipe I may have that. Although my B-pipe has a resonator.

I want to replace my modacrap with the Aspec. I think its the biggest bolt on B-pipe offered so far. 2.25in.

now if you the headers/test pipe/mid-pipe and the OEM ep3 muffler would that decrease the performance...

I wouldnt think so. Its just a muffler and its all the way at the end. If it was a really restrictive muffler then probably. You have to remember its on a higher hp car already so the flow should be pretty good. It actually may help with performance. All the free flowing exhaust may hurt down low performance while increasing the high end. The muffler could tie it all together while increasing the low end. (due to slight restriction)

I actually have another OEM muffler in mind.
As much as I like the Ep3.

BTW... in your sig; your next exhaust setup. Be prepared for noise. Ill promise you that will be really loud.
Unless youre going turbo. Even then it wont be quiet.

Haha that buzz as the rpms go down is known to me as a "fart rattle". It's one of my personally most hated characteristics of nasty rides lol.

Hahah! Good name. A little off topic, Mustangs have nasty fat rattle. I think Mustangs are the only muscle car that can make the sound of muscle rice.

just FYI, the OEM EP3 muffler has extremely good flow for a stock muffler.
