what if i run my oem muffler with a b-pipe

will i see any gains
or will the oem kill whatever the b-pipe is putting out?

what is the best b-pipe out there, loudest and most silent lol

well you'll see a little gain but not much. a b pipe isn't really supposed to be run with a stock muffler. for the best result buy a muffle to go with it, or else you would just be wasting your cash

stock b pipe isnt dramatically more restrictive compared to aftermarket. to see the biggest gains, you take away the two most restrictive points; the catalytic converter and/or the muffler.

so i can keep it oem and bolt on a test pipe and still see a bit of gain or will the better flow from the cat make the car run weird due to the restriction on the bpipe and muffler

sorry for being such a noob on this.

you will probably see the most gain from a test pipe. mind you, on a non boosted fit, the gains will be minimal. even with a complete straight pipe.

Leave your b-pipe and resonator on and take off the muffler, preferably with a straight pipe to replace it. Pulls so much nicer up top.

I am running something like this right now

I have a WR Race header (which also deletes the cat), T1R B-pipe and I slapped on my OEM muffler last week.

result is a dramatically quieter exhuast compared to when I had the 50S muffler on. It does sound a bit tiny though, but it has gone back under the radar in terms of people noticing it.

Interesting enough I actually got an increase in initial response out of the car. I started a thread here, I have a theory that the Fit needs some back pressure to make nice power down low.

I am seriously considering tuning it with the stock muffler on, maybe even doing a dyno comparison.
