So I have an 08 Auto Fit but I want to do a k-series manual swap how hard is it to go from an auto L15A to a manual K-series swap??

 

No more difficult than the usual auto manual swap, meaning it'll be rather expensive and time consuming. Why didn't you buy a MT Fit? It'd probably be cheaper and a helluva lot easier to trade your auto for a manual and boost the L15. Unless you want to be different.

 

trading in a car is never the cheaper way to go...My question may have been poorly stated by myself....If I am going from AUTO L15 to manual K-series, (if it has even been done) what would be required? Aside from a swap and axles.

 

Just get an auto K20. :b Off the start the manual will be faster but automatics have it during second and third. :]

 

auto rsx shift box is different from Fit's as the RSX has the sportshift option. Also, you would need a Hondata Kpro ecu, which would only work with manual trans.

It'll be very complicated in attempting the swap. Much of the problems will be wiring and electronics.

 

the k-series swap is difficult enough, doing a MT switch is the least of the worries.

Looks about like a 6 out of 10 as far as dificulty is concerned...almost all fit parts will be abandoned for RSX/EP3 parts....if dollars are not a problem then, your real concern which I believe you are asking is there a set of automatic Fit mounts currently produced by a vendor to make this swap possible?

the auto to auto swap is the most ridiculous assumption or suggestion I have ever heard of....stay away IMO

 

if you were to do a k20 auto swap, you'd probably be better off just boosting your auto l15, as they would put down similar numbers, and you wouldn't have all that extra trouble or money to worry about.

just my two cents. plus, you'll be hard pressed to find relativley sprightly auto fits!

 

From what I've heard, the K20 AT won't fit in a Fit. The K20 MT has little space to move around as it is.
