HKS Turbo kit
Anyone install one in their car yet? They are available for sale and in stock now.. I've seen one for sale online for 2995.00 including shipping HKS Honda Fit Bolt-on Turbo Kit Free Shipping!!!
I'm curious to know what kind of power gains it will have with the kit and a cat-back. Can the F-Con be returned for highboost?

But from the numbers I have seen so far on our site and online, 127whp @ 5.7psi (with HKS plugs and exhaust) isn't anything to be grinning about IMO. Especially since the T1R kit gives 145whp direct bolt on @ 4.5psi.. closer to 165whp with full exhaust.

hmmm.. interesting.. If it is tuneable, surprisingly we actually have an authorized HKS service center here in Calgary

yeah me too.. t1r over hks.
thats my biggest issue is the whole....tuning factor.
and since bj is having problems with his coilpacks due to all the heat coming from the manifold.
i mean his engine bay is SUPER hot!

The T1R kit is 3900 + tuning to get to 6psi + turbo timer + boost controller + oil cooler.
I think it will be close to the same cost in the end for either kit. I've been weighing the options of the 2 for some time now.. and at most the cost difference would be maybe 3-400 dollars, and that is if I do the install on the turbo myself.. I know I can do the KWSC install on my own.

thats cool, i'm happy for ya. I just wish the info was out for the a/t version, as its hard being dedicated to a product if you are not sure that it will end up being the best choice for you.
besides, is still got some principle to pay off before i drop 4k on f.i.

you could do the k20 for a bit more money but find way more power gains. thats what im waiting for.

If you did a Kswap you'd be getting close to the 10 grand mark.

Can either of the people who have this kit please chime in.
How was install?
Did it include everything?
Did you get a SSQV or what?
Any dyno/track numbers?
Any problems?
I am seriously considering this kit. A local HKS dealer can get it for me.

exactly. i seriously don't know where people are getting this 'oh, but for a little bit more!....' mentality when it comes to the k swap. its not a little bit more folks, its A LOT more, and you will compromise your chassis rigidity (frame cutting) and handling (even if its only slightly.)
just remember who won the super time attack lap battles. all the top fits had either kraftwerks or tr1 kits. the k20's came in the bottom.
if its your thing, go for it. me? i need to be a TINY bit more frugal.

handling is great and all but my fit will never see the track. however, a k swap will produce mad power when driving in real world conditions compared to any turbo or sc out so far. once my engine goes that's what i'll be doing. i could care less about whether my fit will beat a k swap in a time attack. nothing to brag about but if my fit would smoke an unsuspecting evo or wrx then that to me is sweetness.

we'll probably be seeing ~170-180hp and 150-160 torque to the wheels with these kits soon. Thats more torque than a K20 swap. and the cost will be ~4-5k with tuning.
@ 10k for the K20 swap and then another 4-5k for a turbo or sc... plus all that custom piping and frame work to get it all to fit...
now you're talking atleast a 15k upgrade for a turbo/sc K20 fit?? You can have 2 Fits for the cost of that upgrade...
maybe a twin motor AWD Honda Fit would be a better project.. lol
