HKS Turbo kit
#161
I would definitely recomend it with this kit. Everyone I have talked to that has it says it runs very Hot. So I would run the gauges so you can keep tabs on everything.

with the f-con the kit comes with you can see temp air flow timing throttle% ect.. all you need is some sort of video screen like a head unit or something all it is a video out sorce with and RCA

yeah thats 8th gen. i'd hardly call them crap though dude!
better than the ep3.
faster than the 98-00 si for sure.
where is the reason for the doodo?

Just finished reading this thread and a lot of good info. This has swayed our decision into using the HKS kit for our daily driver. Adam, good luck with your T1R install. Call me if you need a hand on Sunday.

I might have missed if this has been asked but.....how many PSI is the F-CON tuned for MAX? I know the kit, and therefore, the wastegate, is set for 5.7ish....but what if you up'ed it with a MBC....how high can you go?

i remember a while ago everyone was freakin out because the new ctr was beating s2000s in tsukuba circuit
then they teamed two tuned s2ks against the ctr and put it in it's rightful place
if i were to get one it would have to be a FD2 conversion

haha yeah i can't see a civic type r beating s2000's...
i remember there was that white Si with the FD2 conversion,..
seriously, that is like one of my DREAM cars
i love the headlights and taillights
i would give anything for a CTR

I sometimes question the view that Americans have on us Canadians. We don't say "Aboot", its ABOUT, we don't live in igloos (alteast not all of us ), we actually have summer (so be it only 2-3 months out the year if we are lucky..), and we don't look anything like the Canadians on South Park!
Here's a good quote from a famous villian "We aren't so different you and I"...
Can u guess who it is?

No.... I just dont like the car. It being built in the US/Canada is just icing for me.
The main reason why I dont like them is that theyre slow.
Im done talking about the Si. I just dont like the car.

i like the shifter. ralley style fo sho.
but do you mean that the ep3 is as fast as an fd2 si?
nah man. new si's are one second to 1.5 seconds faster, even driven hard.
i still don't think its THAT big of a deal, i'm just being technical. I'm trying to adhere to a standard: GAFIT got on my case in another thread when i said the m/t fit's 1-1.5 second advantage in acceleration was no big deal, but apparently it is.
anywho, i'm feelin ya ray. I love the way ep3's look, but as far as what the US was given to deal with, the new si is superior.
However, the ep3 type r is another beast, and i'd take that badboy in a heart beat.
Ray do you mind the fact that the ep3 is made in england?

I know the post has gone off topic alittle, but just wanted to post my Dyno chart
I think the HKS Turbo is a great kit and with a bit of turning I could get about 10/15 more HP. But the car is what it is, and the only way this car would be fast is to no longer have the L15 motor. To spend 13 to 15k to get 250 at the wheels with a K swap boosted doesn't sound right. But thats my OP.
