Anyone know how good this intake is? Their claim in horsepower is pretty high.

PM Rod2Rice - he paid much less than that eBay price for hid new AFE intake (not cold air BTW, but better than other short rams).

 

Bringing this back to life. Does anyone have this and can they speak to its effectiveness? It looks to be very cleverly designed, sealing up against the inside of the hood to capture cold air coming in from the stock intake location. Plus the AFE filters look like good stuff. I'm intriuged, but I'd really like to see pics from someone who has one installed.

 

stay away from it....the front braket on the heat sheild breaks....i now have two heat sheilds from afe in my garage....it is a known issue...
i replaced it with a fujita cold air intake and im much happier....
if you really want one ill sell you the intake with the two heat sheilds for $100 bucks...you would need to get an L braket from home depot and bolt it to the heatsheild to hold the front up

oh and this statement "sealing up against the inside of the hood " is not accurate....there is about a 2inch gap

 

I installed one of these in my neighbors Yaris, it sounds fantastic, definite power increase. He's happy with it.
