Performance Chips

Performance Chips
Searched the forums, doesn't seem like much is out there in terms of plug and play chips, but I did come across the following:
From JET Chips.com
part #67022 V-Force Plus Module
Seems like a more powerful scangauge - you can adjust settings using 14 pre-programmed sets based on your mods and desired performance/economy, what not...
The previous version of this can be had from autopartswarehouse.com for 207 and change, with free shipping. This updated module is 349.99 directly from Jetchips.com
Part #65001
Jet Chips Power Programmer
Kit provides all necessary tools/instructions to remove the stock computer and ship it to JET, they reprogram or make a new board (not sure) and send it back to you based on your mods, vehicle specs, and parameters. Kit is 263 from autopartswarehouse.com or 329.99 direct from Jet.
Then, from Hot Tools, is this super expense handheld programmer. Not to familiar with it but here's the part number and some info:
programmer part#BXGM35003 i-Flash software #BXBD35721
on board programmer to recalibrate and replace ECM. Can adjust timing, fuel economy, shift points, as well as others.
Can't find a website for Hot Tools, but autopartswarehouse.com sells the unit for 1314.69, free shipping (If anyone has some extra cash and is bored, might be worthwhile looking into - especially if you are running FI setups, maybe?)
Anyway, thought I'd post this up here - I don't have the finances to direct at testing any of this stuff out so maybe someone else will pursue it and post their results. There's been lots of chip/on board units for other late model Honda/Acura vehicles in the past, so the Fit should be no different, even if the fancy smancy computer controls are hard to get around. I think it'd be great for a company to develop and produce at least a chip that could produce some noticeable gains for those of us that can't justify e-manage or other standalones and may not be going the FI route in the immediate future.

I sent an email to jet's customer service, maybe I'll get a response with some further info about these units.
Sugarphreak - I'd be curious to know what exactly, if anything, it does as well.

i'm not sure about that, but its more of tuning the ecu with sutle changes, i'm not exactly sure if thats how it is

ONLY way to get Hondata is to get the KW kit. I am currently the only L15 fit in the world running Hondata.
BTW Hondata isnt about getting more power but it sets up the ECU to respond better to mods as well. I have seen RSX's with just the flash making 10+whp just off hondata.

i have seen great improvements with hondata.. on modded cars 15 to 20 hp... heck just changing the redline on a gsr will give ya 5 hp and keeps you in the power curve longer (when upshifting)
so maybe if the we do crazy stuff hondata might jump in.. but like the older vtec e cars.. their isnt a big market for power... most fit folks are for economy... I think I could deal with 10 to 15 more hp and a few mpg loss since im aproaching 40mpg per tank now.... and just topped 1200 miles.
