yea, i just use honda factory coolant. they pre-mix it with distilled water so the ratio is perfect. water wetter wont improve or decrease heat dispersion but it is mandatory to have if you are ever on the track in case of a coolant spill on the tarmac. it makes cleanup easier. never heard of it turning into gel but ive only dealt with it in motorcycles.

nah, i figure that its such a small turbo and it doesnt get abused to badly so the coolant and the oil would be a little overkill. also, i am getting close to being done with my car and i am trying not to think of other things to do to it hahaha

not really. my car will top out at 90C after hard driving and idling. my oil temp gauge isnt hooked up right now but i think i would like to get an oil cooler. or at least send my oil away for analysis to see what needs to be done because even with synthetic, at top temp, my oil feels really thin.

My water temps stayed roughly the same, when it was warm. Of course, if I got into it, then stopped abruptly at a light, oil and coolant temps could jump to 180-195, but as soon as you move again it cools back down to 170-175 (all temps in *F).

Now that it's the dead of winter, my water temps cling to about 175 when I'm at a steady pace; I'm assuming this is because the radiator is so cold from the incoming air (been in the negative single digits lately) that the thermostat is taking a bit longer to open, and the coolant sensor is on the engine side of the coolant circuit (obviously).

Oil temps in the summer were between 180-220*F, while stock was ~175-185*F. With it being winter and all, I don't see above 175*F, no matter what. Not surprising, but since I only ever use fully synthetic (I would say a MUST when turbocharging a hi-compression motor like the L15), I'm not worried. Synthetic oil flash points are often in the range of 400-500*F. BTW I'm not running any sort of aftermarket cooler. Stock everything minus my pressure/temperature senders in a sandwich block.

i was using 5w40 greddy oil but that stuff is too thick and it made my engine run a little sluggish.so i started using 5w30 greddy. now i am running 5w30 eneos oil but i think i am going to switch back to greddy oil because the eneos gets thin alot faster than 5w30 greddy oil did.
