to give a passenger's perspective of SP3 mode without knowing Blitz TC is installed..

My gf is sitting in the passenger seat, and her brother is sitting in the back seat. I for sure thought getting up to speed was going to be a long and painful since there's more than 2 ppl in my car now, but in SP3 mode accelerating onto the freeway was pretty easy in SP3 mode. As I am accelerating and downshifting to do lane changes, her bro goes,"wow this feels like turbo!" I laughed, but I think he was serious. Later he askes if this car is faster than their mini cooper. And then later tonight on the way home, I ask my gf how SP3 mode feels compared to OFF mode. She said," scary in SP3 mode, gentle in OFF mode. There is a lot more 'kick'."

So, this is another plus I find from the Blitz TC. Travelling with extra passengers wont feel like they're holding you down. I can still feel the 'jab' of acceleration when i tap the gas pedal when they were both in teh car. Even downshifting to pass cars seems easy with some ppl in the car.

I'm still deciding if I should recommend it to everyone.. but I'm sure I'd recommend it to those who want better throttle response and an increase in driving fun factor. The way my gf and her bro responded towards the Fit's power seemed to make it worth it to me :-) And they didn't even know I installed the Blitz TC which means it was totally unbiased opinion haha I need some more unsuspecting passengers now

Any other Blitz TC owners have the same reaction from your passengers?

Sorry for the slow response Mike, I had a minor glitch with my CC and Paypal. If you could send the money request again via PM I will buy before the end of the week. Thanks for all your help, looking forward to scaring some unsuspecting passengers.....

From what I've seen, buddy club/sprint booster/pivot are all pretty much the same right? They install the same and do the same thing. You have to wire them into the throttle pedal and the ECU. But it looks like they don't perform as well as the Blitz. The Blitz is different from these three because it just plugs into the wire coming off the throttle pedal and sends the signal from there. The only thing I can think of to complain about is that ECO mode on the Blitz won't give any extra MPG compared to normal operation.

First tank with mostly SP3 mode and sport mode.. 30 mpg.. ahhhh. but of course when its in SP3 mode, all i want to do is stomp on the pedal for maximum effect :-p good thing gas is down now.. $22 for almost 9 gallons woo!

I was just looking at the buddy club controller today, do you guys think this might be better than the blitz? it has alot more adjustment with the knob as opposed to the blitz. But the design is kinda clunky, and probably wouldnt look good no matter where you put it.

I look at it like this. I had two sets of suspension on my DA. The first set was the Function Form Type II's that had 15 way adjustable damper. The second was the Ground Control/Tokico Ilumina combo. The Tokico's only had a 5 way adjustable damper but showed a much great differance than the FF's did. I found that having 15 clicks to tune my suspension with was kind of overkill. Having just 5 was much better as I would see a big differance with just one click as oposed to three or four on the FF's. You see what I'm getting at? With the Pivot (12 diff settings) you will see a small differance in each one, and with the Blitz (4 diff settings) you will see a huge differance in each one. More options are not always the answer. At times, it can confuse you on the right choice in front of you.

I totally agree! I'm sure with the buddy club, most people would either have it off, or half way, or full blast. Most people wouldnt need for the unit to have such "fine tuning" capabilities. Too many options does get confusing sometimes. just 4 modes on the blitz makes the decision alot easier.

I just put mine on...and there IS a difference. No more waiting, wondering when the power is going to hit. I would advise against expecting wonders from it, but you WILL notice the difference. Definitely more torquey below 2k now. Even ECO mode gives you more down low.

I'll try to do a DIY writeup later on. As for the 1/4 mile times, that's not going to happen for a while unless someone knows a dragway in GA that's not closed for the winter, unfortunately. The one I go to just did their last event 6 days ago.

I beleive people are getting worse mileage with the ECO mode, as opposed to not using the throttle control. Because the ECO mode still gives a bit of performance over not using it. ECO mode is probably best used for daily driving, if you want just a little more kick but dont want to waste it with SP3 mode. The other throttle controllers out there do have eco modes that save gas, but your Fit becomes even slower than stock

Didn't notice any mileage hit on a 4500 mile trip in August to AZ. Way hot and eco mode all the way got us an average of almost 34mpg. Was hard on the skinny pedal too...

I got abnormally bad FE today, with and without the controller. Either fog kills economy, or my SG II is off. Anyway, my short experience tells me that even ECO mode reduces fuel economy by a few MPG. The Load sensor is elevated quite a bit when the TC is active.

Driving with and without it, I'd say the best way to look at it is like a "turbo" that you can turn on and off.

UPDATE: I used the TC yesterday in ECO and SP3 modes, and got decent mileage carrying passengers in ECO mode. I used SP3 only in city traffic. I got tire slippage twice in left turns, on dry pavement, with an AT!

Also, all of the Sport modes make the gas pedal a hair trigger, so you have to be very gentle if you don't want to race from every stop.

I've checked the Pivot website out, and it looks very promising, with user programming for the performance mode, and an economy mode with slower throttle openings than stock. The last mode is the same as stock throttle function. It seems that you are getting more for less, but that isn't an opinion that can be based on fact unless there was an unbiased real world comparison test carried out.

Pivot throttle controller

True, I dont know why someone has not done a side by side testing of the two products.I think everyone scrambled for the Blitz cause they were the first out of the gate.Although the good Doctor had a first hand look at the Blitz and he was happy with it.

First, I am really enjoying my Blitz TC.
I would sell mine and be the guinea pig here.. but, The product catalog says it is compatible with GE8/9 L15A and GE6/7 L13A. Both use harness 7A. I have O8 Fit sport. Does anybody know if this is compatible with USDM Fits?

oh thats true, didnt think about that. That may be why no one has tried it. I'm sure the plug and play harness would work as long as you get the GD3 one, but i dont know if its programmed correctly for the USDM fit.
