Apexi WS 2 noise quality

Does anyone have any info on the Apexi WS 2 axle-back fot the Honda Fit? How does it compare with the Tanabe Medalion in noise and workmanship? What is the diameter of the exhuast tubing at the inlet of the muffler and the size and style of the tip? Does anyone know of a source for purchase?

i have a ws2 and love it.

idle rev:

short drive:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rohthKlyQq4

set-up = fujita SRI / megan b-pipe / apexi ws2. for some reason, it sounds a lot louder in this video than in person. you should really hear it live and not on computer speakers. those who have heard my car commented that they hear the intake/engine more than the exhaust - which is good IMO

the best price i've seen New, was from iptuned.com for $350.00 (sale price). keep an eye out in the classified forum because i have seen a few ws2's for sale at really good prices.

With this muffler, did you notice any difference in performance? It is one of the least fart can sounding mufflers, and looks nice. I would like some performance, but not if all you hear is noise.

any, if not all, axlebacks will give you the same gain. when i had just the axleback, i was convinced i had gained a few ponies until i had a 0-60 sprint against my friend's bone stock Fit - we were dead even the entire time (maybe it's cause i can't shift, but who's to say he could?).

case-in-point, pick the axleback that you enjoy listening to most

Ive been looking at the Apexi WS2 and the Tanabe Medallion and they both sound super quite. I dont like the sound it makes when you rev the car and the exhaust kinda sputters out at the end. But thats what i hear in the sound clips for both these exhausts. How does it sound like in person? I really like the Hi-power but cops are a**holes in my area.

the sputter is a lot louder in that video than in person. it's audible, but not from the cabin - i don't rev often so the only time i ever hear it is when i'm parking in my garage and my windows are down.

the sound of this exhaust while driving is what should matter - it does for me anyway

hahah. yeah thats true. but you know what im talking about right? in the video it shows the exhaust from the outside, and then they rev the exhaust, and as it mellows out it has like a funny sputtering before the sound goes away. haha. either way i think im gona get this one. its DL

yeah i know what you're talking about. the sputtering was a concern for me too because i thought it might get raspy or buzz higher in the rpm band - but it doesn't .

IMO - this is one the best, mid-range priced, and quieter axlebacks you can buy. my only gripe is that it has a round muffler unlike the rest of the WS2's. the round look has grown on me, but i was expecting an oval body because nearly every website advertises it that way

Oh freal? aw man. The oval shaped canister was what sold me on this exhaust. haha. lame. isnt the Tanabe touring medallion an oval canister?

I have the WS2 on my DB8 right now and I love it! I had it on my CB7. All Hondas sound good with the WS2 IMO.
