Mfactory LSD Installed

OK so after my car being delayed and in the shop for almost 2 weeks the LSD was finally put in. First noticeable difference is takeoff... The car basically wants to jump forward. Turning while accelerating has improved SO MUCH! Before I would get so much wheel spin when I was turning while on the throttle. Now i get no wheelspin, just whip around the corner. Car feels more stable through turns as well. For being the prototype the thing dropped in perfect! I am supposed to have some track time this weekend and will have more info after that to share.

So far im loving this LSD.

I'm glad that I bought my Quaife ATB from UK before the stock market & exchange rate went down. If not I'm officially fukked.

the quaife and spoon and j's lsd are all clutch activated. this one is helical. obx has one that is helical too. is there a big differance between the helical and clutch lsd other than the obvious differances?

No. Mfactory & Quaife are both gear type LSD while J's/Mugen/Kaaz/ SPOON etc are clutch types.

Clutch type LSD provide a better locking performance but it will also wear out after sometime. Which u will need to either replace/rebuild it or it's gonna be a piece of metal that doesn't do anything in your tranny. It knocks/chatter when u're doing slow turns which ppl who don't know sh** think your car is falling apart. My brother had to replace transmission fluid every 3000-4000km when he had his 1.5way LSD, which the Mfactory LSD is like OEM ITR/CTR LSD. U can change your tranny fluid once every 2yrs and it doesn't require expensive heavy weight transmission fluid. Normal Honda transmission fluid do just fine I think.

Hey Chris,

glad to see you are enjoying your new-found traction

yup, as Chris says, if you are interested in pre-ordering the LSD ($584.95), you may do so directly on our website.

Production time for these will be around a month, so if you are interested, make sure to pre-order now, otherwise the price will go back up to normal ($649.95) once they are in stock

Good video. brings back a few years racing at MidOh.
Good prices pre or productuion. However, I'm interested in an LSD for the automatic Fit. Untapped market as there are 3 or 4 sellers of LSD for manual Hondas.
Any thoughts on an LSD for automatics?
thanks.
