im not going for crazy hp i think 160 is good enough with some couple of bolt ons... i think a3 is good enough for my needs

the A3 responds pretty well to bolt-ons. cams will do wonders too.

yeah but HKS kit w/ test pipe, 310's and 8lbs will get you at about 160whp

think about it ^.^

3500 vs. 5500 for k20 swap

i don't know what the laws are in NY, but here in CA, we cannot have a motor from a car older than the car it is going into. For example, my '08 Fit would only be allowed to have an '08 or newer motor installed legally.
the K20A3 is not available in '07+. you could get an Accord or TSX K24 motor (160 and 200 hp respectively), or a '07+ Si K20Z3 motor.

such a dumb law
so how do k20 civics get away with it?

They either don't care about getting it bar'red or they run loopholes like registering it running on propane.

so true... but the only thing there is one HKS dealer in NY and they were charging me 1200$ for a tune i was like F that
for motor it would of been 1200$ for the labor and free tuning

K20A3 FTL. Get a K20A or K20A2. The A3 is a waste of money.
