my AFR is a steady 14.9 at idle and WOT. when partial throttle is fluxuates(sp?) between 14.9 and 16.0.

13.0 is entirely too rich (too much fuel) for a NA motor.
chances are your intake (if its AEM intak...they arent well designed), your intake manifold or a combination of both is whats causing the problem.

Normally for a N/A Engine, it should be around 13.5:1 AFR for full power, Fit or not! Stock WOT is around 10.5:1 - 11:1 according to various graphs i've seen. They tune it rich from factory to provide some extra safety!! Personately i would try to enrichen it just a little!

Did you reset the car's ECU after the mods?? I figure then yes! If so, a S-AFC may be an idea as you could have 'em for dirt cheap on e-bay!

where are you getting this information? not saying its wrong...but i need some proof.
the only mod to my car is a test pipe and my AF gauge was reading 14.9 @ idle and 14.9 @ WOT.
i average 15.0 - 16.0 at partial throttle.

and my ecu has been reset.

yea, very ridiculous. my tuner set my afr at 11.3 at WOT. but thats on a turbo engine making everything work harder and faster. on an NA engine, it should be around 13.5 at WOT. nothing wrong with your AFR. /thread

The information about the ideal air\fuel ratio (13.5:1 for N\A tune!) is from Martin Musial at AMS and the guys at D-Sport! (But i'll check my books next weekends just to be sure!)

As fot the stock AFR at WOT, sorry guys, it's 11:1 - 11.5:1! My bad! You can check out the T1R header thread, the graph says 11.33:1 AFR stock fot that car... Depending on the sensors, location where they are, if it's due for a tune-up, milleage, etc.. it may vary a little! ...but i think your exhaust valves are having one hell of a bad time at 14.9:1 AFR WOT!

Marko!!

i have been monitoring my a/f since i installed the weapon r manifold and i have been at a constant 14.5-14.9. i have not seen anything higher than 15.1

why are some of us reading differant a/f ratios?

the FI guys dont count cause of the piggyback ecu.

Still malarkyy!! lol jk jk. For seriously though, you do realize that those numbers are for forced induction right? not for NA. his A/F is perfectly fine.
(end this damn thread!)

agreed. he said his car had an rb20det. the T at the end stands for TURBO. why would a guy with a tuned skyline be posting afr numbers about NA? i agree. put this thread out of its misery and end it.

that could be just unburnt fuel vapor building up in your test pipe.

When I first installed the manifold it was running way over 16, not at WOT. It was tuned immediately after by the guys down at AJR.

From what I understand, target A/F is something like 13.0 to 14.5

i asked leo at weapon r about it and the n1 concept fit was running around the same a/f numbers. im running right around the stoichiometric ratio. isn't that what a car is supposed to run at?

I think it is a touch lean, but not going to cause any trouble.

I don't want to post any incorrect information, I would throw up a thread in the AJR thread and see what they have to say. There seems to be a lot of different opinions about what the correct A/F is supposed to be.
