Has anyone tried Water/Meth Injection?

DevilsOwn alcohol injection : methanol-water injection - DevilsOwn Injection
Devil's own kits are around $250 for the stage 1 or you can build your own kit. what do you guys think?

Depends on application.
The main use of meth injection that i have seen has been in turbo cars. The meth causes a drop in intake temps that then allow for more aggressive tuning etc. with less fear of knock/detonation. That being if you are trying to use this for NA applications, you are wasting your money. NA cars never run into the same temperature problem that can plague turbo cars.

hello dew the dew, i was just at my friends house wireing up a AEM water/meth kit.
i read the instructions and drank cofie while he got his hands dirty...
he has a jdm b16 with a vortec supercharger kit, spoon tb, skunk 2 Intake manafold... ece...
The reason he is running the water/meth kit is due to the high compression his motor is running... it is more of a safty factor than anything, up the octane and cool the charge.
The instructions say that the kit will not make big gains by it's self..... where it makes power is from allowing you to advance the timing safly.. where as normaly timing would be retarded for FI app's...
I am not the bible and know verry little about water meth... im just spraying the jist of what he told me and what i read in the instructions.. The kit is a 50/50 water meth...

another cool factor about the AEM kit is the meth/water controller has the abbilty to tap into certian ECU's and retard timing and lower boost when the tank runs low...
as to what ECU's that function works on, i shall do more research... it says "standalone" ECU's on instructions.... I hope it workes with AEM F/IC.
Otherwise the kit comes with led to mount on dash, it flashes when the water/meth runs low.
it is a pricy kit tho... he payed 500+ CDN for it.
I shall keep you posted on my findings.
Please correct any misinformation i have posted, as i can barly spell water meth.... let alone despence information about it.

hope this helps
cam

tagged for interest. I keep seeing guys with AquaMist stickers on their cars, maybe I'll pull one over and have a talk with 'em.

What was wrong with JR's old superchargers (iyo)? The new design with the Rotrex unit is pretty nice once you get the boost up and tune it (imo)

The old superchargers were a positive-displacement (i believe) SC, which replaced the intake manifold on the engine.

They had a tendency to make VERY hot intake temps (sometimes in excess of 100C), which makes all the little hamsters in your engine sweat and generally get pissed.
