Strength of Transmission

Hey guys, I'm looking for a comparison on both the manual and CVT transmissions. I'm guessing the manual has better pickup speed, faster 0-60 time, higher top speed etc. while the automatic transmission is prone to breaking quicker with more performance upgrades. But since I don't understand the specs of the CVT, is there anyone who could provide a more specific comparison? Thanks.

You should have no doubt any modern automatic transmission will last as long as a manual with routine maintenance. Some autos also are getting better mileage than manuals.

From my understand, Honda CVT tranmission can stand upto 140hp. Under normal driving...

If you are a hardcore driver, i guess either MT or CVT will break down quicker. But for sure, MT will be more stronger the CVT
