Thumbs up REVIEW: Megan replica header (gd3)

eBay Motors: Honda Fit Sport 06 07 08 L4 1.5L Stainless Steel Header (item 170312009596 end time Mar-23-09 09:46:44 PDT)

initially, i was in the market for any of these three headers: t1r response, aspec, and DC. i came across a deal on the Megan replica header and couldn't pass it up - $40.00 brand new, never installed, with hardware and new gaskets included

i'm almost positive that's the header i installed yesterday (above pic and link). the welds look much better than what you see in the stock photo, except where you get to the center of the collector - it gets pretty nasty there but there aren't any leaks. ZERO installation issues! everything fit the way it should have and i was VERY surprised by this.

butt dyno registered a noticeable gain. not surprising when you compare the piping diameter of the header versus the factory exhaust manifold; you can't even fit your thumb into one of the pipes of the factory manifold. power comes in at 2.5k and pulls all the way through 5.5k

the only negatives i can find regarding the Megan replica header are the welds near the collector and the listed ebay price.

down the line i will get replace it with a t1r response header but for now my $40.00 header makes me happy.

the only way it could have been cheaper was if i was paid to take the header and install it. i figured that for the price, i couldn't lose

i hope this thread helps someone on a recession budget. just because money is tight it doesn't mean you should deprive yourself of modding your Fit
