Quick SRI Questions...TIA
Just installed a Fujita SRI. I noticed that at 80 mph, the RPMs are at 3K which seems high. I remember the RPMs hanging around 2.5K, but I'm not sure. Is this normal? How is this going to affect my mpgs?
Please chime in if you've got an SRI. Thanks!
By the way, I have an AT.

My 5 speed manual Fit is sitting close to 3500 at 70 MPH. If you have an automatic transmission and it is revving that much higher, my guess would be that it isn't going into the highest gear. ... In a lot of cars a loss of vacuum will cause an automatic transmission to not shift up, but I am not sure about the fit. If that is the case with your car, your intake system could be the cause or a vacuum line could have pulled loose. Then again it could be the dreaded but embarrassing driver error and that you forgot to shift into 5TH gear.

Thanks, Sa211050. Awaiting your response. I Googled a bit last night and what I found was people reporting anywhere from around 2,900-3,000 rpms at 80 mph for non-modded AT Fits.
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to get up to 80 today (never got on highway). But 2900-3000 is what ive always heard too.
I wish my manual transmission Fit was as laid back at 80. I just went out for a night time drive on some of the lesser travelled back roads around here and I am turning 4000 RPM at 80..... I think I am going to need a bigger muffler or a more powerful amp for my sound system.
